Each year, the Idaho Chamber Alliance champions policies that strengthen Idaho’s economy, support workforce development, and enhance the quality of life for all Idahoans. Our 2025 Legislative Priorities reflect our ongoing commitment to helping businesses thrive and communities succeed.
2026 Legislative Priorities
The Idaho Chamber Alliance will advocate for the following legislative priorities during this session:
- Support business-friendly tax and regulatory reduction policies to help businesses grow and allow them to reinvest in Idahoans through job opportunities. This includes a reduction in the corporate income tax as well as the elimination of the business personal property tax.
- Support education and pro-business policies that will strengthen our workforce, direct resources to in-demand career fields, and build a talent pipeline for Idaho businesses. The ICA also favors initiatives to bolster our workforce, including increasing childcare resources and workforce housing opportunities.
- Continue to streamline and simplify Idaho’s business licenses and other regulations.
- Protect the authority of local governments to provide services for their citizens.
- Support investments in healthcare infrastructure in Idaho to ensure that we can meet the needs of our growing and aging population. This includes investments in workforce, protecting against measures that raise the cost of care, and advocating for sensible healthcare policies to deliver needed services throughout the state
- Invest in Idaho’s aging infrastructure to further strengthen our economy and invest in the future of our State. This includes investments in roads, bridges, air, rail, broadband, and water.
- Promote policies that protect Idaho’s positive, welcoming national reputation for the purpose of preserving travel, tourism, and economic development as vital sectors of our economy as well as attracting and retaining talented workers for our businesses.
